GMAS Prep at Jonesboro Middle School

At Jonesboro Middle School, we’re dedicated to helping our Mighty Bears shine on the Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS)! These important end-of-grade tests are taken by all Georgia public school students in grades 3–8 and help measure how well students have mastered the state standards in subjects like English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Whether you're a student preparing to show what you know or a parent looking for ways to support your child, we’ve got the tools to help you feel confident and ready.

📚 What is the GMAS?

GMAS is designed to assess student learning and ensure that students are on track for success in high school and beyond. Middle school students at JMS take tests in:

• English Language Arts (with a writing section)

• Mathematics (grade-level or accelerated)

• Science (8th grade only)

• Social Studies (8th grade only)
